Can anyone sign up to the UEFA B course?
There is a selection process for the UEFA B course; participation cannot be guaranteed. You need a valid UEFA C Licence, which must be confirmed by the German Football Association (DFB). For example, if you obtained your UEFA C Licence in Ireland or in another European UEFA member country, we require formal confirmation from the DFB. For the UEFA B Licence, we accept exclusively European coaching qualifications (UEFA-certified) as a mandatory prerequisite. We do not accept coaching licences or certificates acquired outside Europe or not certified by UEFA as prerequisites; therefore, you must first register for the UEFA C course before you can progress to the UEFA B course.
Additionally, a cross-border application for coach education abroad is required. This must be signed and stamped by your national football association. There are provisions for an aptitude assessment, such as submitting a video showing how you work with a football team (topic set by the BFV), or providing proof of your playing history at least similar to fifth-division level in Germany.
Furthermore, an extended certificate of good conduct from the home country (not older than 3 months) and a medical certificate (not older than 1 year) as well as completed first aid training (not older than 2 years) must be provided. Obtaining the DOSB license is optional and now requires a valid membership at FC Bayern.
